As the new year began, I started working on defining my personal CDFs. For many reasons, "flow" has risen as the most prominent feeling sense I wish to invite into my life. Flow = ease, allowance, releasing attachments, living peacefully with impermanence. Flow... in relationships, finances, abundance, ideas, concepts, schedules, emotions.
Flow doesn't mean that I'm throwing caution to the wind or that I don't have goals or specific desires. Instead, it's asking that I change my relationship to what is taking shape, to stay present and open, and to let go of the need for things to be a certain way. Instead of getting frustrated, disappointed, worried, or dismayed that things are not as I would have them be, "flow" helps me to remember that things are always shape-shifting. By not grasping on tight to things that are not mine to hold, I retain freedom to flow in a way that reflects my inner desires. I'm not caught in the "should's" - which are only a negation of what is.
When my CDFs are vibrant and present in my feeling body, I am vibrating that intention and attracting like energy. If I seek easy flow of abundance in money, students, and opportunities to share my mindfulness practice, then my focused attention on that helps me to be more open and available for those things to arrive. If I focus on restricted qualities of fear, judgment, or lack, that is what I will see in my experience. What you look for is what you see. Check it out yourself - look for the color red and see how prevalent it is. Did you notice so much red before?
CDFs are also important because they are generated from the heart and not the head. The heart is the body's major electrical center, generating 1,000 times the amplitude of the brain. Knowing how powerful the brain is, imagine what you can do when you tune in to the power of your heart!
Check in with yourself. Spend some time looking at the essential feeling sense you would like to bring forth. What might be your core desired feelings and how might your life change if you spent your day from that beginning point? I'd love to hear your thoughts - send me a note or share here.
Peace and Many, Many Blessings!!
